Terms of Service
Effective July 28, 2026 · Applies to the Recalo app and recaloapp.com
These terms are an agreement between you and Fishteen LLC ("Fishteen," "we") covering your use of Recalo. By creating an account or using Recalo, you agree to them.
The service
Recalo is a personal memory app: it stores things you save, uses AI to organize and enrich them, and helps you find and act on them. Features may change over time, and occasional data issues are possible despite our best efforts. Please don't rely on Recalo as the only copy of anything irreplaceable.
Your account
You must be at least 13 years old. Keep your sign-in method secure — you are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time.
Your content
- You own what you save and create in Recalo.
- You give us the limited license needed to host, process, and display your content back to you — including sending relevant content to our service providers (for example, AI processing and transcription) solely to provide the service. See the privacy policy for details.
- You are responsible for having the right to save the content you save. Recalo is for personal use; don't use it to redistribute others' content.
AI features
Recalo uses AI to parse, organize, enrich, and generate content. AI output can be wrong: ingredients can be misread, details mismatched, suggestions off. Review anything important — especially health, dietary, travel, or financial information — before relying on it. Third-party details (such as hours, prices, and ratings) come from external sources and may be outdated.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse Recalo: no unlawful content or activity, no attempts to breach or probe security, no abusing the AI features (for example, attempting to extract other users' data or overwhelm the service), and no automated scraping of the service. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.
Subscriptions and billing
Recalo has a free tier and a paid subscription, Recalo Pro, billed monthly or annually. The two tiers differ only in how much new content you can add to Recalo using AI — never in your access to what you've already saved. One thing is permanent: there will always be a free account that lets you access everything you've already saved. Current prices are shown before you purchase and may vary by country or region.
You can subscribe in the iOS app or on the web. Who you are buying from differs, and so does where you cancel:
- In the iOS app, Apple is the seller. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage it in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
- On the web, Fishteen LLC is the seller and payments are processed by Stripe. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Manage or cancel it from the billing portal linked in Recalo's settings. Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout before you pay.
However you subscribe, Recalo Pro unlocks on every platform — buy on the web and you're Pro in the iOS app too, and the other way round. Cancel wherever you bought it.
Any unused portion of a free trial, if one is offered, is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Prices may change over time; we'll give clear notice first, and a change never affects a period you've already paid for.
Refunds
Where you bought your subscription decides who handles a refund.
- Bought on the App Store: Apple is the seller, so refunds go through Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue or reverse an App Store charge ourselves, but we're glad to help you work out what happened.
- Bought on the web: Fishteen LLC is the seller. Email support@recaloapp.com within 14 days of a charge and we'll refund it in full — no reason needed. After 14 days, write to us anyway: if something went wrong on our end, we'll make it right.
Cancelling stops the next charge; it doesn't refund the period you're already in. You keep Pro until that period ends, and everything you've saved stays accessible on the free tier afterwards.
If a charge looks wrong, please email us before disputing it with your bank. We can almost always sort it out faster than a dispute can, and a dispute ties the payment up for weeks either way.
Disclaimers and liability
Recalo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fishteen's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You can stop using Recalo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end the service (or your access to it) for violations of these terms or if we discontinue the product; if we discontinue Recalo, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your content.
Changes
We may update these terms as Recalo evolves. The effective date above reflects the latest version; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
